UK Government’s Plan for Change: GP Surgery Refurbishments to Enable 8 Million More Appointments

The Department of Health and Social Care today published a press release on the UK Government website, announcing patients will get access to over 8.3 million new appointments this year.

Backed by a cash injection from the government of £102 million, over 1,000 GP surgeries will receive funding to create additional space to see more patients, boost productivity and improve patient care.

The press release also cites Norwich’s Prospect Medical Practice, located on Aylsham Road – serves nearly 7,000 patients and this funding could help in creating new clinical rooms to deliver more patient consultations.
