The Norfolk Green Care Network is hosting a celebration event: The Green Gathering

The Green Gathering is a celebration of green care and will feature a number of presentations, launches, awards and opportunities to discuss plans and developments.

Speakers include:

• Sara Collins who is leading the national 'Nature Premium' campaign
• Paul Rabbitts, Manager of Parks and Open Spaces at Norwich City Council, as the Council begins the development of a new strategy
• Stephen Sellers who runs 'Farm Buddies' - a Social and Care Farming Network in the South East
• Louise Ambrose on the Forest Schools approach
• Ruth Taylor from MIND on Forest bathing
• Rev. Dr. Fiona Haworth on SING- a spiritual approach to nature connection

In addition we will have the launch of the new 'Nature Prescriptions' project by Sara Walker of the RSPB and Claire Dyke, Social Prescribing lead for the local NHS. There will be a video presentation about the latest national developments in Green Social Prescribing. We will also hear about nominees for the 'First Nature Award' for a project or organisation doing great work to connect children and young people with nature, sponsored and presented by the Bishop of Norwich.

Morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch provided- thanks to the Bishop Of Norwich, Norfolk & Waveney ICB and Central England Co Op for help with funding these.
