East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, Epic and MyChart

On the 2nd of October, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) went live with their new electronic patient record (EPR) system from Epic.

The system brings multiple systems into one platform, where primary care colleagues can check admissions, waiting lists, discharges, emergency department attendances, outpatients and ESNEFT-ordered results.

Patients can now benefit from a new app that lets them manage important information from their hospital record and helps them understand more about the care they are receiving.

MyChart is both an app and a website that patients can download or access to view their own hospital records.
