Victoria Bunting, Social Worker, Best Interests Ambassador (BIA), Practice Educator (PE) and Business Change Lead (Adult Learning Disabilities Service and Sensory Support) for the Norfolk County Council, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Social Worker of the Years Awards 2025.

Victoria was awarded funding from UEA Health and Social Care Partners for the Care Experience Improvements for People with Learning Disability and/or Autism (CELDA) project, which focused on creating a risk assessment tool for identifying at-risk homes, identifying key improvement areas in the learning disability care market, collecting feedback to develop a supportive toolkit for care providers, and establishing a joint charter to ensure staff well-being during challenging situations, which has helped her become a finalist for the award.

The category Victoria has been shortlisted to is the Practitioner-Led Research Award.

What is the Social Worker of the Year Awards?

Social work is one of the most demanding professions, but it is also one of the most misunderstood. It is a challenging and diverse sector, and one that is rewarded with the Social Worker of the Year Awards.

We at UEA Health and Social Care Partners would like to extend our congratulations to Victoria and her team for the work they provided for the CELDA project, and to see her efforts being rewarded with this news.
